Event Description:
Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the motion picture directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish follows the life of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman with an epic imagination. He lives life to the fullest and thrives on thrilling storytelling, but his attachment to fantasy has resulted in a damaging relationship with his realist son, Will Bloom. Just as Edward’s health begins to decline, Will learns that he is about to become a father, and sets out to discover his family’s real story by seeking the truth behind his father’s tall tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and inventive stagecraft, Big Fish is a tribute to the power of family, dreaming big and the unpredictable adventure of life itself. Who: Coronado School of the Arts, San Diego County’s premier public school arts conservatory. Directed by Dr. Barbara Wolf. Musical Direction by Shane Simmons.
