The event, which runs from 5-8 p.m., offers a limited number of guests the opportunity to discover the provenance of their treasures. RSVPs must be received prior to March 15.
The experts are Valentina Arbab, Kate Fitz Gibbon, and Helen Anderson. Arbab's expertise is in collectible oriental rugs and textiles, Fitz Gibbon specializes in Central Asian textiles and jewelry, and Anderson's forte is Asian art.
Tickets for this event are available in advance for $25, which guarantees one item's discussion. A charge of $10 will apply to any additional items for which the evening's timing allows.
You must have your item submitted by 6:15 p.m. to ensure evaluation by the panel. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served during the presentation, and all proceeds benefit the Coronado Museum.
The Coronado Museum of History & Art and Coronado Visitor Center are part of the Coronado Historical Association, located at 1100 Orange Avenue. Museum hours are weekdays 9-5 and weekends 10-5.
