The Coronado 4th of July parade will be broadcast live on Times Warner Channel 19 starting at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 4, from 1100 Orange Avenue. A small remote camera will have perhaps one of the best views down Orange Avenue as it records the floats, horses, cars, and people in the 61st Annual Coronado 4th of July parade. The students from KCMS will be the narrators and will be commenting on the parade for this live broadcast. They will also be interviewing individuals from the community and giving announcements of events, activities and information about the festivities and about other events in Coronado. Volunteer Mark Gilliland is producing and directing the televised event in conjunction with Times Warner Cable and the Coronado Historical Association.

FERRY & FERRY LANDING INFORMATION: Fare decrease NOW $3.25 one-way or $6.50 round trip For the 4th of July, there is early service: 8:30 from Coronado to San Diego and an 8:00 from San Diego to Coronado Ferry Landing will have controlled parking in effect from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm on the 4th of July. $20 flat fee refund available with proof of purchase within 2-hour time limit. Lot will close the night before, no over-sized vehicles.

Parking:
5 am - 10 am: Northbound Glorietta Blvd. between tennis court and 4th Street no parking on bayside and no through traffic.
6:30 am - 10 am: Strand Way totally closed to all traffic.
9 am - 1 pm: Orange Avenue from 1st St. to RH Dana completely closed both North and Southbound lanes. Southbound strictly for Parade participants and Northbound strictly for spectators.
3rd and 4th Street will allow cross traffic between parade entrants, expect delays.
7:30 pm -11 pm: Strand Way between Boathouse and Pomona Blvd. closed for ALL traffic.
